I occasionally do enjoy whipping up a meal for the family. I get into the kitchen to create something beautiful and glorious the camera must take note. Some time ago, I was working that kitchen magic when my kids came through asking what I was cooking. The place was busy with all kinds of foods, flavours, scents and actions. Eventually my little girl demanded an answer. “Daddy what are you cooking?” I had no time for words, told her to trust me and just kept working away. When the meal was ready and served, I asked her to name this glorious creation. “Fambayoni!” That was the verdict!
There are times you will not get a direct answer from God about the issues of life. You will not understand the uniqueness and differences you possess. You will find it hard to keep track of what is going on. Those are the moments you simply need to trust God. Understand that the maker knows exactly what He is doing in your situation. You will get frustrated, deflated and even exasperated. But remember, simply trust God. Everything will be revealed in the fullness of time and you will be glad you waited on God. Don’t panic! Simply trust God!
SCRIPTURE READING: Psalm
91:1-16 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall
abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord,
“He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.” Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly father, I know that am unique and different. Teach me to understand what you’re doing in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen
