Time in the secret place is personal and should be considered as such. We tend to get caught up with what is going on with everyone else. We keep track of what people are doing. We constantly evaluate ourselves against others using methods that are far from accurate. The secret place however is the most personal life can get. It’s not about others and what they are doing. This is between you and your God. Forget the masses and their mad dash through life. This is personal!
Learn to ignore the obvious and resist the loud banging from the influences about you. Get away from the showmanship that comes with masses and retreat to the inner circles of your heart and life where you stand face to face with God. Refuse to be measured with the standards of the world and choose to place your heart in the hands of God. It is personal so resist the temptation to go regional. The secret place will always remain secret and only its results will be seen outward. Even then, most will never understand it’s working.
SCRIPTURE READING: Psalm 140:1-13 Deliver me, O LORD, from evil men; Preserve me from violent men, who plan evil things in [their] hearts; they continually gather together [for] war. They sharpen their tongues like a serpent; The poison of asps [is] under their lips. Selah Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; Preserve me from violent men, Who have purposed to make my steps stumble. The proud have hidden a snare for me, and cords; They have spread a net by the wayside; They have set traps for me. Selah
DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I choose to consider the time I spend in the secret place to be personal. I refuse the masses and distraction of the world in Jesus’ name. Amen
