Water like all fluids will flow from a higher level to the lower level. This gradient gives the flow of water a natural movement by creating pressure due to this decent. So the best position for a water tank to service your house is somewhere higher than the house or the point at which you want the water dispensed. This gradient is an engineering fact that many disciplines employ throughout their designs.
When it comes to mentorship and growth in ministry, it is important that one creates a gradient in order to receive from the mentor. Sadly many students want the teacher to seek them out, make time for them, sacrifice and bend over backwards to bless and grow them. The student must seek the teacher and adjust whatever they have to adjust in order to accommodate the requirements at hand. You need to change your schedule, relocate your resources and reposition yourself to receive. You will never grow in ministry if you refuse to learn by positioning yourself to receive.
SCRIPTURE READING: Luke 9:57-62 Now it happened as they journeyed on the road, [that] someone said to Him, “Lord, I will follow You wherever You go.” And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air [have] nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay [His] head.” Then He said to another, “Follow Me.” But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.” Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God.” And another also said, “Lord, I will follow You, but let me first go [and] bid them farewell who are at my house.” But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”
DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God, teach me to learn from my mentors. May I position myself to receive in Jesus’name Amen.
