Wind is an invisible force of nature that has the ability to shape the world we live in. Strong winds that are in hurricane categories devastate continents, reshape landscapes, wipe out civilizations and press the rest button. Obviously there are calmer winds that are friendly and nice on a warm day, while other winds have been harnessed for development in many ways including the generation of energy. All these winds have several common characteristics, they are invisible to the natural eye. We only train our eye to see them by observing their effects, feeling their power and noticing the results they leave behind.

We must train our eyes to see the invisible God by feeling His power, seeing His effects around and taking note of the results He leaves among us. I can see God at work in your life as I observe the effects He has had on you. His power working through you will bring undeniable results and position you to be a vessel through which more people will see God. Learn to see God in the thunder, the lightening and the silence. See God in situations that most would call uncomfortable. God is right there with you at all times. Sharpen your eye to see the invisible and you will do the impossible.

SCRIPTURE READING: 1 Kings 19:9-13 There he came to a cave and lodged in it; and behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and He said to him, What are you doing here, Elijah? He replied, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts; for the Israelites have forsaken Your covenant, thrown down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. And I, I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away. And He said, Go out and stand on the mount before the Lord. And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire [a sound of gentle stillness and] a still, small voice. When Elijah heard the voice, he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. And behold, there came a voice to him and said, What are you doing here, Elijah?

DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly father, teach me to see you at all times. May my eyes be enlightened to see the invisibility of God in Jesus’ name.
