Daily Devotion

The words we speak are of profound importance on the earth. All that we see from wars to peace, from love to fighting, from businesses to factories, to sports, to marriages and to families is a result of words spoken somewhere. As a matter of fact the whole universe as seen today is a result of words. God said let there be light, and there was light. All creation was spoken into being. Working with God means working like God. If God created by His words, so can you.

You know the things you are praying for and trusting God to do today. You must therefore begin to create them with your words. Refuse to be negative with your talk. Deliberately speak the right words to create the environment you are looking for. Speak love in your house to create a loving family. Speak prosperity in your work place to create wealth. Remember your spirit is an explosive entity that has the power to create life or death. Your tongue is the trigger for that power. You are a loaded gun filled the ability of God to create. Don’t just sit there loaded, pull the trigger today.

SCRIPTURE READING: Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.

Matthew 21:18-22 Now in the morning, as He returned to the city, He was hungry. And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, “Let no fruit grow on you ever again.” Immediately the fig tree withered away. And when the disciples saw [it,] they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither away so soon?” So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

DEVOTION PRAYER: Oh Lord, teach me to speak the words of life at all times. May I create all the lovely and noble things that I want to see in this world in Jesus’ name Amen.
