IN CHRIST ALONE

Life takes on new meaning and power when we learn to walk in Christ. There are times we take the Christian walk for granted that we don’t comprehend what it means to be in Christ. As much as we find ourselves in a nation as citizens we look at life and experience it from the perspective of that nation. If you lived in a land that has extreme summers and winters, there will be times when you are frozen and others when you are almost cooked. So you get to experience life from where you are.

We must learn to experience life as those in Christ. The peace, the prayer, the worship, the righteousness and the victory can all be experienced in Christ. There are things you do and things you don’t do. The kingdom of our Lord is all around us and we begin to do life like those in Christ. If you were forced to live on the moon for a while, you would have to adopt to the environment on the moon. Chances are you would always wear a spacesuit while outdoors and walk in slow motion.

Adopt to the system of the kingdom of God. Reject the ways of the world and adjust everything about you to conform to the kingdom of God. Understand that you are in Christ and as such must conform to the image that God has set for you in His kingdom. Don’t just do or be like everyone else. You are in Christ and should never forget to reject the world and adopt to the Jesus culture.

SCRIPTURE READING: Luke 16:1-8 And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods. And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward. Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed. I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses. So he called every one of his lord’s debtors [unto him], and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord? And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty. Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore. And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.

DEVOTION PRAYER: Oh Lord, am grateful for your love towards me. May I learn to experience life as those in Christ. Amen
