Daily Devotion

An ambassador is a person that represents a nation or kingdom in a foreign land. They are sent to act on behalf of their kingdom as they carry out specific instructions. Their words, methods and objectives have all been predetermined by those they represent. They walk in the authority and power of their government. They are given rights and privileges that are befitting those they represent. Their entire time in the foreign land is all about doing nothing other than their primary mission to represent their kingdom.

You are an ambassador of the kingdom of God. Though you are here on the earth, you are not of this world. You have been dispatched onto the earth to represent the kingdom of God everywhere you go. There is more at stake than your little needs and ambitions. You have been inserted into the system though you are not of this system. Don’t forget your mission. Live each day for that mission. Do whatever it takes to get the job done. You are the representative of God on the earth. Speak for Jesus and do things for your king. You have what it takes to bear fruit that will last. Refuse to be a spectator. You are an active contributor for the Kingdom of God. Get to work and make a difference for the Lord.

SCRIPTURE READING: 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 Therefore, if anyone in Christ, [he is] a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things [are] of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore [you] on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin [to be] sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly Father I appreciate the responsibility you have given me. Give me the boldness and confidence to testify about You everywhere I go. May people see You in me. Amen.
