THE ROAD NOT TAKEN

Life presents opportunities and options at many times and turns. All opportunities must be seized in the lifetime of those opportunities. Crossroads present a choice we must make. There is just no way of choosing both options at hand. There is an opportunity cost for every direction we take. We forfeit something to press onto another. You can’t be all things. A jack of all trades is a master of none. The destination you have in mind should dictate the choices you make. Hopefully the road you don’t take represent the destination you are avoiding.

You must make the choice on what road you are going to take. Clearly aware of the road you are not taking. Boldly embrace the choice you make fully aware of the things you are sacrificing to make the choice clearer. Never to look back to the road you have not taken. Your destination keeps you on that road that will take you there. A double minded person is a victim of indecision, oscillating between two opinions and getting absolutely nothing.

SCRIPTURE READING: James 1:5-8 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God, teach me on what road to take on this Journey. May my ears incline unto your teachings in Jesus’name Amen.
