The Choices we make teach us lots of things about life. The choices of others also shed light on the dynamics at play. We are ever learning and gathering information as we go about life each day. Though the human mind is an incredible machine, there are certain things we must deliberately do to make the most of it. In your mind is stored all the information you have consumed since birth. However, we tend to forget what we have learnt unless we set up a file retrieval system called remembering. We can set up a way to remember the things that matter the most. Taking notes, setting alarms, keeping a journal and even time to meditate, all empower us to remember.
You must deliberately set systems that will trigger your memory on the things you must absolutely remember. Daily press those memory buttons to ensure they retrieve that vital information you require for life. Start the day with prayer and study of the word of God. Then immediately do to your journal and read through the things you have dedicated yourself to accomplishing. Go through the things you must remember and why they are important to you. Now you are ready to get to your dairy and get onto the objectives of the day. Don’t forget to write what goes through your mind. The pen never forgets. Deliberately tell your mind what to remember at all times.
SCRIPTURE READING: Deuteronomy 9:6-7 “Know, therefore, that the LORD your God is not giving you this good land to possess because of your righteousness, for you are a stubborn people. Remember and do not forget how you provoked the LORD your God to wrath in the wilderness. From the day you came out of the land of Egypt until you came to this place, you have been rebellious against the LORD.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear Jesus, am grateful for carrying a mind that remembers. May I be intentional with everything that I do so that my mind deliberately remembers at all times.
