Daily Devotion

We live in a day of 24 hour customer care service. The airlines, banks and even the churches are trying to provide services to their customers 24 hours a day. Through the phones and internet, you can generally access certain service 24 hours a day. This generation is high demand and high maintenance. They never sleep and they never wait. This microwave generation is looking to get what they want right away. We no longer call, email or text. Now we are video blogging. This is a far cry from two generations away when you had to send a letter through the post and pray that you get a reply in two weeks.

God has been into 24 hour customer care service provision since for ever through Jesus. He is a very present help in times of trouble and is as close as the mention of His name. Gone are the days when we had to wait for Moses to go up the mountain and download the message of God onto a tablet. We all have wireless connectivity with God through the Holy Spirit and our hearts are the tablet of God where onto He downloads His life. This is not a tablet made of stone, or hardware and software. This one is made of heart. I give you Jesus, the 24 hour God care service provider that keeps you connected to God every time all the time. On the road, at your house, in your car and even in your bathroom, Stay Connected.

SCRIPTURE READING: Mathew 28:18-20 Jesus came up and said to them, “All authority (all power of absolute rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.”

DEVOTION PRAYER: Thank you Jesus for your blessed assurance of God care. I choose to take my eyes off my troubles and focus on you, my ever present help in times of trouble.
