If you want to operate a family car, you must be willing to pay the price. If you want to run a business or a home, you must be prepared to pay the price associated with it. If you want to get a degree, work a job, have a relationship or simply go on vacation, you must pay the price. The price factor is what separates those that achieve to all those that desire to do a thing.
In the same way you must pay the price to be influential in your world. Making a difference costs so much. It is not enough to have a desire to have a positive impact in your world. There is price that will be paid by those that have influence. As a matter of fact there your willingness and aggressiveness in paying the price will position you to be influential in your world. Don’t sit back and hope that things will work themselves. Get going by paying the price.
SCRIPTURE READING: Genesis 50:15-21 When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, “Perhaps Joseph will hate us, and may actually repay us for all the evil which we did to him.” So they sent [messengers] to Joseph, saying, “Before your father died he commanded, saying, ‘Thus you shall say to Joseph: “I beg you, please forgive the trespass of your brothers and their sin; for they did evil to you.”‘ Now, please, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of your father.” And Joseph wept when they spoke to him. Then his brothers also went and fell down before his face, and they said, “Behold, we [are] your servants.” Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for [am] I in the place of God? But as for you, you meant evil against me; [but] God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as [it is] this day, to save many people alive. Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Oh Lord, teach me to pay the price of being influential in this world. May I be willing and aggressive in this position in Jesus’ name.
