People of influence are those that don’t leave their world the way they found it. They make a difference in so many ways. They face all sorts of challenges, resistance, discouragements, attacks and frustrations. They stay resolute with their hearts focused on the destiny they must achieve. This resolve gives them the grit to burst through barriers, hindrances and limitations. This means they must be aggressive.
Don’t sit back and wait for life to happen. Aggressively make it happen. Don’t wait for the world or your peers to set the mood and give you an agenda for life. Aggressively dictate your destiny. Breakthrough is not going to find you sleeping in your bed. You must get busy, aggressively working what you have to influence those about you. Don’t wait for life to come your way but rather reach forth and grab it by the horns. Horn your skills, sharpen your tools, push beyond your comfort levels and aggressively make it happen. You will become an influencer.
SCRIPTURE READING: 2 Timothy 2:1-10 You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of [this] life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops. Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things. Remember that Jesus Christ, of the seed of David, was raised from the dead according to my gospel, for which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, [even] to the point of chains; but the word of God is not chained. Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Oh Lord, teach me to aggressively dictate my destiny. May I not go off course rather may I be influential towards my vision, Amen
