I will never forget sitting at a Chinese restaurant and flipping through the menu. Several items where competing for my attention and I just couldn’t make up my mind. The waitress drew my attention to some pictures of the dishes and I decided on what I was going to eat based on those pictures. When the dish finally arrived, it looked just like the picture but the taste was horrible. I failed to eat.
This is why God invites you through Jesus to taste and see that the Lord is good. Sadly many individuals make up their minds about God and His ways from an ignorant point. They have not tasted what the Lord has to offer but run off to the alternative just for the sake. Before you ignore, criticise and disqualify yourself, taste and see. Give yourself wholeheartedly to prayer and see. Is it worship, the word, sacrifice or ministry? Give it a good go and you will be surprised what the Lord will do for you.
SCRIPTURE READING: Psalms 34:7-9 The Angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him who revere and worship Him with awe and each of them He delivers. O taste and see that the Lord our God is good! Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him. O fear the Lord, you His saints revere and worship Him! For there is no want to those who truly revere and worship Him with godly fear.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly Father, my heart is overwhelmed by your goodness. Am grateful because I have taste and seen your goodness in everything pertaining my life in Jesus’ name, amen
