The church is in a hurry to shout and dance when the preacher talks about the things God is about to do in their lives. They are not as loud when the preacher talks about what the church needs to do as part of what God is doing. We are happy with a warrior; God who fights every battle but can’t deal with the warring bride that must swap her gown and veil with the shield and sword. Possessing the land is not a passive arrangement. The nation of Israel was very passive in the wilderness. They simply collected manna every morning and when they wanted chicken, they complained until God sent the chicken. Coming into the Promised Land means the manna must stop as you start to till the land, raise and milk the cattle and do the work required to thrive in the land.
Welcome to the season of possessing the land is a welcome to the fight club. Don’t think for one moment that you are going to possess the land without a fight. Every square foot of land you will possess must be fought over. Put on the cape of a warrior, fold your sleeves and get to ready for the fight of a life time. You can be confident of the victory because of the promises of God. Don’t expect things to happen all by themselves. Get your game on and get into the fight zone. The land flows with milk and honey but these are not rivers. You have to milk the cows and you have to deal with the bees as you possess your promises. So get your fight on, God has promised you the victory as you fight the good fight of faith.
SCRIPTURE READING: 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Father, I believe in this season of possessing the land I must be positioned to be aggressive unto it. I choose to wholeheartedly be involved not to miss out on what is availed for me in Jesus’ name, Amen.
