NETWORKING

As Joshua was taking the children of Israel into the land of promise, the Reubenites, Gadites and half the tribe of Manasseh who had already received their inheritance on the other side of the Jordan were required to crossover with their brothers and fight with them to occupy the land. The whole nation had fought with them to get what was theirs so it was now their turn to return the favour. Possessing the land requires strategic partnerships and networking in order to attain the promise of God.

God has given what you need to your brother so that you can work together as one body to realise the destiny of God in your life. You are not an island. You are part of a network that has a great destiny from God. Learn to draw from that network as you pursue your destiny. Obviously you must also learn how to give to that network in order to qualify to draw from it. Remember, the three tribes had greatly benefited from the rest of the nation in occupying their inheritance and that is why they had to deliver their strength when called upon. Dependence is not weakness. God has given you a network of grace and strength. Identify your destiny network and learn to draw from it as you occupy the land.

SCRIPTURE READING: Joshua 1:11-15 “Pass through the camp and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you will cross over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God is giving you to possess.'” And to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh Joshua spoke, saying, “Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, ‘The LORD your God is giving you rest and is giving you this land.’ Your wives, your little ones, and your livestock shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side of the Jordan. But you shall pass before your brethren armed, all your mighty men of valor, and help them, until the LORD has given your brethren rest, as He gave you, and they also have taken possession of the land which the LORD your God is giving them. Then you shall return to the land of your possession and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD’s servant gave you on this side of the Jordan toward the sunrise.”

DEVOTION PRAYER: Oh Lord, am grateful because you have expanded my partnership and network in this season of possessing the land. May my network of grace and strength never cease in Jesus’ name.
