HOLINESS-SET APART TO

We all hear stories of people making it big in a particular field. This makes everyone want to join that field. We hear about the money being made in farming and everyone becomes a farmer. When someone makes it trading Chinese goods, the rest catch the next flight to China. The lack of creativity and originality has limited many good people. Holiness which means being separated from sin also carries the connotation of being separated unto something. It is not enough to be separated from. We must also be separated to something specific.

This season of possessing the land means you are separated from and separated to. Find your place and destiny then be separated from the rest as you focus on your thing. Remember the jack of all trades who is a master of none? Take your medicine and choose your trade so you can dedicate yourself to it as you make the most of it. There is no good being mediocre at many things. Do a few things but do them so well that you become a master at them. Holiness means you are dedicated to God and forsake the ways of the world and sin. You know the God thing you are into and have mastered it all the way to perfection.

SCRIPTURE READING: Luke 16:1-8 He also said to His disciples: “There was a certain rich man who had a steward, and an accusation was brought to him that this man was wasting his goods. So he called him and said to him, ‘What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your stewardship, for you can no longer be steward.’ “Then the steward said within himself, ‘What shall I do? For my master is taking the stewardship away from me. I cannot dig; I am ashamed to beg.  I have resolved what to do, that when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.’ “So he called every one of his master’s debtors to him, and said to the first, ‘How much do you owe my master?’ And he said, ‘A hundred measures of oil.’ So he said to him, ‘Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.’ Then he said to another, ‘And how much do you owe?’ So he said, ‘A hundred measures of wheat.’ And he said to him, ‘Take your bill, and write eighty.’ So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light

DEVOTION PRAYER: Am grateful for Your word that teaches me to be unique and creative at all times. Oh Lord, in this season of possessing the land, I dedicate my thoughts and actions unto your will in Jesus’ name.
