Daily Devotion

Some of us remember the 2008 election that got Barack Obama elected as the president of the United States of America. His campaign slogan was one for the ages. “Yes We Can.” The task was monumental, improbable and one that would forever change the land scape of American politics. A nation built on slavery was just about to have a black man in the white house. He took his message from the unprivileged streets of Chicago to the historical lane of Washington declare, “yes we can.” What had only been a dream in the minds of the previous generations was just about to become a reality. Yes we can.

I borrow that leaf in history to speak about your situation in 2020. What you thought was impossible is possible. What many said would not happen for you is around the corner. What the statistics say should never come to pass is just about to. This is a season for you to possess the land and live the dream that most couldn’t even dare. Yes You Can. You can make a difference in your world. You can build that house, start that business and go on that rip. Whatever had been a daunting task is possible today. Don’t limit your God and don’t limit yourself. You are well able to do whatever you set your heart upon in the Lord. Get out of the shadows and get ready for the big stage. Yes You Can!

SCRIPTURE READING: Numbers 13:30 Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”

DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly Father, am so grateful for Your word that keeps reminding me of how victorious I am pertaining the possession of the land. Indeed I believe that through You I can overcome anything in Jesus’ name, Amen.
