If I could be given a dollar for every time I have heard people justify their inactivity, limitation and faith because of their inability, I would be loaded with free money. Many times we say we can’t do certain things not because we can’t but because we won’t. We confuse our willingness with inability. The truth is if you are willing, you will find a way to do it. Time and again I have heard people say they can’t do it but what they really want to say is they won’t do it. This is so true even for the things that are personal and for our wellbeing. We say we can’t but the truth is we won’t. We won’t wake up to pray, won’t go to church, won’t work hard, won’t save, won’t start a business, won’t volunteer yet we say we can’t.
This year to possess the land should be one where you don’t hide behind inability but rather categorically tell yourself that yes you can. You have the ability to get the job done. Where you lack skills you can acquire them. Where you don’t have knowledge you can go get it. No human being is born with skills. We all acquire them through the process of trial and error as we push ourselves to become better. Don’t hide behind the lack of skills, you have all that it takes. Yes you can. You have been given whatever you need.
SCRIPTURE READING: Ephesians 3:20-21 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
DEVOTION PRAYER: In this year of possessing the land, I choose to go beyond my inability. I take that step of possession with boldness knowing that nothing is hindering me in the mighty name of Jesus.
