TRUST GOD’S WORD

Many times I have been asked how to get God moving and doing miracles. How can we get the miracle of healing, deliverance or provision? While I don’t want to get into a theological debate, my response has always been that it’s impossible to move God. However, it’s possible to find what God is doing and jump into it. It is very hard to create a category 5 hurricane. If you wanted one, it would be much easier to research hurricanes and predict the next one coming then jump into its path.  In the same way, people can prayerfully get into the word of God and figure out what He is doing and how He is doing it then get into it.

Possessing the land was easy for Joshua because he listened to the word of God and simply followed instructions. Going for Jericho a fortified city whose walls were big enough to carry a six horse carriage was an impossible task. The Israelites had no canons or bombs to blow the thing down. The Jericho army was well equipped and experienced in warfare and would quickly deal with any treat. They had the higher ground safely tucked behind their fancy wall. God gave Joshua battle instructions which when followed delivered success. They were unconventional but fruitful.

As you walk to possess the land in 2020, use the instructions of God following His written and spoken word as the basis for what you believe and do. Seek and trust the word of God about your situation, then run with the word that you are given without wavering. God has given you a word about every situation you may face. Simply trust that word and you will be victorious.  Yes you can!

SCRIPTURE READING: Joshua 6:8 So it was, when Joshua had spoken to the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the LORD advanced and blew the trumpets, and the ark of the covenant of the LORD followed them.

DEVOTION PRAYER: Oh Lord, may I be able to use your instructions in this season of possessing the land. May my mind and heart be steadfast regarding Your word pertaining my possession in Jesus’ name, Amen.
