Moses the founding father of the nation of Israel was a master strategist. He had been trained as a prince in Egypt well skilled as a builder, army commander and spy. After forty years in the palace he found himself fending for survival in the wilderness where he had an encounter with God. God specifically sent him back to Egypt as a leader and prophet. After all the miracles in Egypt and the wilderness Moses had seen the hand of God many times. When the people of Israel rebelled against God, He told Moses to go into the Promised Land with a mighty angel and take the land. Moses refused to move an inch. His only demand was that God would go with them. Moses knew that only the presence of God would satisfy. He knew how fast things can change and how only God Himself would be able to deal with the dynamic reality of life. He sought and depended on the presence of God.

That should be the case for all who want to make a difference and possess the land. Only the presence of God can truly satisfy. Success without God is failure. The presence of God will get you home safe and sound. The challenge is diminished by the presence of God. Even death loses its power in light of the presence of God. With God, no challenge is impossible. Every situation can be dealt with. No mountain is too high, no valley is too low. No problem is permanent and no sickness is eternal. The presence of God is the answer to every question and the keeper to every door. Yes you can do anything if the presence of God is with you. Above all, seek the presence of God!

SCRIPTURE READING: Exodus 33:12-17 Then Moses said to the LORD, “See, You say to me, ‘Bring up this people.’ But You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight.’ Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation [is] Your people.” And He said, “My Presence will go with you,and I will give you rest.” Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go [with us,] do not bring us up from here. For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth.” So the LORD said to Moses, “I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name.”
