The word process always carries the conotation of time being invested to develop something. Those who enjoy a good cake, like I do, appreciate that time, several ingredients and effort have to be invested into baking the above mentioned cake. It’s one thing to bake a cake and a totally different thing to bake a good cake. The same applies to the process of developing a strong spirit. It takes time, investing several ingredients and effort. A strong spirit isn’t developed because you hang around fellow church folks. You have to do the time. You have to discipline yourself to regularly study the Word, spend time in prayer as well as worship. Developing a strong spirit can be compared to going to the gym. The gym will help you build your physical muscles. The spiritual disciplines mentioned above are the weights that need to be lifted regularly and let me say frequently for our spiritual muscles to be developed. Commit yourself to the spiritual disciplines to develop a strong spirit. You will need it as you go forth to possess the land.
SCRIPTURE READING: Ephesians 6:10 In conclusion, be strong in the Lord be empowered through your union with Him; draw your strength from Him that strength which His boundless might provides.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly Father, grant me the grace to attend to the spiritual disciplines of prayer, studying your word and worshipping you in Jesus Name, Amen.
