Daily Devotion

It has been often said, when church congregations hear about a church party with food you will always have a mammoth crowd. But when the pastor calls for a prayer meeting many church members say I am not part of the intercessors or prayer department. If the church fully understood the power that it exercises through prayer, the prayer meetings would be the most attended meetings or gatherings. A story is told of a church that was located near a bar. The church felt compelled to pray for the closure of the bar and salvation of the owner as well as those that frequented the joint. After a few days of the prayer meeting, the bar was closed down. The owner took the church to court. To the dismay of the magistrate, the church denied their being the cause for closure of the bar. The magistrate said, the devil has more faith in the church than the church does. As we continue our journey of possessing the land, we need to learn to hit the prayer altar with fervency cause there is so much creative power released through prayer.
