It is one thing to do a good thing but a totally different ball game to steadfastly stick to it constantly. If you look at the lives of people who have excelled in any field be it sports, business, medical practice or law one thing is common. They constantly engage in habits that enable them to continuously succeed in their fields. This should be the case with every child of God concerning prayer. Why do I recommend this? Constant engagement in prayer enables us as believers to become more sensitive to the presence of God. Prayer should not be relegated only for times of crisis. It should be a constant part of our lives as we go forth to possess the land. Smith Wigglesworth a great general of the Christian faith when asked about the secret of his power said he wouldn’t pray for more than thirty minutes but wouldn’t go for more than thirty minutes without praying.
SCRIPTURE READING: Romans 12:12 Rejoice and exult in hope; be steadfast and patient in suffering and tribulation; be constant in prayer.
Heavenly Father, Grant me the grace to constantly engage in communion with you in the place of prayer in Jesus Name, Amen.
