There are very few things that are always with you. One of them is yourself. You take yourself everywhere you go. You can never go anywhere without taking yourself. The bathroom, bedroom, that road trip, the joyful place or the troublesome places. You are always with yourself everywhere you go. Jesus is the only possession you can take anywhere you go. He is always ready to go with you through whatever you have to endure. The trials, the temptations, the challenges, the problems. He is always with you to go along with you to whatever and through whatever.
Your car will not enter the swimming pool with you. Your diamonds will not go to the hospital with you. Your house will certainly not go traveling with you to that holiday destination. But Jesus will go along everywhere you go. He even promised to go with you through the hardest of all journeys through the valley of death. You are never alone because He is always with you.
SCRIPTURE READING: Psalm 23:1-6 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.
DEVOTION PRAYER: LORD Jesus am grateful because you’re my ever present possession. I believe that you’re my shepherd and you are leading me everywhere I go, Amen.
