Daily Devotion

I have seen many young men in love with a lady and one of the first thing that happens is that they seek her out. All my sisters are married and throughout their courtships, those young men almost moved into the house. They would show up in the morning and stay all day just hanging around. Now during the times when the young lady would be away at school, the young man wouldn’t be at home. They follow her to the school, follow her to the shopping mall, follow her to church and anywhere else she goes.

Loving Jesus means seeking Him out. It means you are in the house of God for every opportunity to meet with Jesus. You are in the prayer meeting, the worship service, the choir practice, the evangelism program and any other program that Jesus is involved in. It means you are literary searching, seeking and reaching out to find Jesus. You are not fat, content and satisfied with what you have. You want more of the Lord so you seek more of the Lord. You are the first to arrive and the last to leave because you are seeking Jesus. Grow your love for the Lord by increasing your seeking of the Lord. Some church services are for everyone while others are for seekers only. Seeking is a true test of love. We can tell how much you love by looking at how much you seek what you love. Seek Jesus!

SCRIPTURE READING: Jeremiah 29:12-13 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly Father, teach my heart to seek after You. May I grow in love by seeking after You, hallelujah
