YOUR POSITION IN CHRIST

I had the joy of experiencing a major football game from the loft of a private booth. It was in the middle of the summer and some wealthy friend decided to give me a treat. Getting to the stadium in Adelaide, we were given VIP access to this spacious, air-conditioned booth that could sit twenty. It had a private bathroom, several fridges loaded with drinks and a banquet table filled to capacity. The walls had flat screen TVs and speakers to give us the best experience. As I said, it was the summer and everyone in the stadium was sweating but us. We settled into our air-conditioned booth and enjoyed four hours football. The experience we had in that booth was totally different from what everyone else in the stadium was having. Yes the game started at the same time for all of us and the result was the same as well. But the experience was different. Who says watching the game means screaming in the sun?

Your position in life sets the mood for what you experience. While everyone is sweating and screaming their heads off, you can be chilling in your air-conditioned penthouse praising God. Don’t complain about what you are experiencing. You can change it all by changing your position. Reposition yourself to change the experiences you have been going through. Life can work out different for you tomorrow. Simply change that position and all you are going through will be totally changed, just like that. Your position in Christ is the game changer. Standing in your God given position means you are positioned according to the purpose of God.

SCRIPTURE READING Ephesians 2:1-10 And you [He made alive,] who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in the heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in [His] kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; [it is] the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

DEVOTION PRAYER: Thank you Jesus for my position in you. Now I live a life of Faith. I experience life differently from the world, I don’t sweat I simply believe.  I am loved, I am prosperous, and I am more than a conqueror through you. Everything works for my good because am called according to your purpose. Amen.
