USE THE CORRECT KEYS

Modern hotel rooms give you an electronic key that you swipe for easy access. I visited a five star hotel in Tanzania for a week and used such a key. Several months later, I was in Australia at a hotel that used the same kind of keys. I was checked in and that first night was nice and comfortable. The next morning I went about my work then came back to the hotel in the evening but the key wouldn’t open the door. After several frustrating swipes, I went back to the reception with a complaint. The lady assured me that the key worked fine and offered to go open the door for me. We got to the door and I handed her the key. She tried it a few times without must success and decided to take a closer look at the key. To my embarrassment, the key clearly said, Ramada Hotel Dar Salam and here I was trying to use it to open a hotel room door in Australia. Every door needs a particular key to open. One size doesn’t fit all.

Many times Christians try using the key of prayer to open the doors of prosperity. In frustration they begin thinking that prayer doesn’t work. You need the correct key for the door you are attempting to open. This is why many prayer warriors are broke and many businessmen can’t pray. Those are different doors and they require different keys. If you keep forcing the wrong key into that door you may end up breaking the key or the lock. You must know the doors you are trying to access and the keys that work them. The different doors of life have different keys and you are going to need a whole bunch of keys to open them. Just ask your spouse, the door to her heart is not opened with prayer.

SCRIPTURE READING Matthew 17:14-21 And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.” Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.” And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour. Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

DEVOTION PRAYER: Father thank you that I am blessed with the keys to the kingdom. I receive the wisdom to know the right key for every door I choose to open. Amen.
