We are all used to running about and making things happen. Many people can’t slow down or get away from all the activities. With the quarantine pronouncements during the covid 19 crisis many people don’t want to get off the road.
But walking with God means setting yourself apart from the world to spend time with God. When Israel was about to leave Egypt God commanded them to stay indoors while death ravaged the Egyptian homes. There are seasons to slow down and just enjoy time with God away from the normal pace of life.
Get away from the usual, the crowds, the work, the chase and spend time with God and yourself until the season changes.
SCRIPTURE READING: Isaiah 26:20 Come, my people, enter your chambers, And shut your doors behind you; Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, Until the indignation is past.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Oh Lord in this period may I understand the value of solitude. May my ears incline unto Your teaching in Jesus’ name, Amen.
