Jesus and crew were sailing across the sea of Galilee when a vicious storm engulfed them. The disciples battled the storm to no avail they were resigned to the date of the sailor. They suddenly realized that Jesus was sleeping in the middle of this crisis. Jesus wasn’t panicking or biting his finger nails. The storm scared he life out of the crew but didn’t shake Jesus at all because He placed His faith in God.
Storms are inevitable while at sea. Challenges are inevitable while you are alive. That doesn’t mean you have to live a stressed and depressed life. You can still enjoy peace in the midst of your storm. The world today is grappling with the deadly covid 19 virus which has left millions in fear and distress. But you can still enjoy in this storm.
Stay calm and keep believing God. Refuse to panic and choose to trust God. The storm will pass and the Lord will deliver you. He may lead to speak to the storm or to walk on the waves. Whichever He leads you, this storm will end. Take your eyes off your storm and put your trust in God.
SCRIPTURE READING: Matthew 8:23-27 Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!” But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. So the men marveled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”
DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear Lord, am grateful for your word that is doing a mighty thing in my life. I believe you’re my peace in the midst of the storm, Amen.
