The current covid 19 pandemic has made one thing very clear. The things of the world will fail at some point. Medical systems have failed just like the global financial systems have failed. People have cars but can’t drive anywhere. People have education but can’t use it right now. Friends and family are proving to be too far. And with the rules of social distancing, we find ourselves getting more isolated by the day. Some have lots of money but can’t spend it right now. Not that there is anything wrong with these things in particular. We all need them and must use them. But let’s not put our trust in these things.
Right now is the time to shift our trust from all the things of the world and put it in Jesus. Don’t panic in the middle of this pandemic. Trust Jesus. Don’t trust your money, education, connections, cars or your national leaders. Put your trust in God.
SCRIPTURE READING: Psalms 20:7-8 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the LORD our God. They have bowed down and fallen; But we have risen and stand upright.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God, my trust is in You because You’re the author of my faith. Am persuaded that You’re greater than this pandemic in Jesus’name amen.
