KNOW YOUR PLACE

In every family, different individuals have different places. Sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, uncles and so on. The dynamics of life in the family depend on knowing and understanding our place in the family. Failure to understand this means conflict, un-realised potential and functioning out of sync. The same goes for the kingdom of God. We must know our place and operate from it all times.

Your place as a child of God is one of prayer, worship, faith, power and dominion. Refuse to live below that place. Determine to live each day in that place. Joseph knew his place and loved out of that place with all the changing circumstances in his life. He exercised dominion and leadership in his father’s house, In Potiphar’s house, in the government’s house called the dungeon and in Pharoah’s house. The situation changed many times but Joseph never changed his place and he always did life from that place.

Let us grow in knowledge about our place in the Lord and function each day and each moment as God has intended for us. Live by faith, prayer and dominion regardless of the other facts around you.

SCRIPTURE READING: Genesis 39:20-23 Then Joseph’s master took him and put him into the prison, a place where the king’s prisoners [were] confined. And he was there in the prison. But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph’s hand all the prisoners who [were] in the prison; whatever they did there, it was his doing. The keeper of the prison did not look into anything [that was] under [Joseph’s] authority, because the LORD was with him; and whatever he did, the LORD made [it] prosper.

DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly Father, teach me to grow in knowledge of the place I have in You. I choose to live by faith, prayer and dominion to the glory of your name, Amen.
