Children are generally innocent and tender Hearted. They easily believe, trust and obey. Going through life makes many hearts complicated and hardened. Those that walk with God must maintain a tender heart. Going into the presence of God requires a tender heart. Following the Holy Spirit means having a tender heart that can follow the still small voice in this volatile world.
Is your heart tender to God, His word, His presence and prayer? Do you feel the things of God or is your heart so tough you can connect with the sweet gentle Spirit of God? Harden not your heart.
SCRIPTURE READING: Psalms 95:6-11 Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He [is] our God, And we [are] the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice: “Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, As [in] the day of trial in the wilderness, When your fathers tested Me; They tried Me, though they saw My work. For forty years I was grieved with [that] generation, And said, ‘It [is] a people who go astray in their hearts, And they do not know My ways.’ So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest.’ “
DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God, teach my heart to enter rest. May I have a tender and loving heart, amen.
