MOVING NOW WITH TOMORROW IN MIND

God is at work right now but He works from an eternal perspective. All His current works are somewhat connected to the past and the future. Where we see Abraham sacrificing Isaac, God is looking at Jesus on Calvary. When Joseph is languishing in the pit because of his brother’s Jealousy, God is birthing a nation. Whatever God is doing today should be understood from an eternal perspective. This brings to mind a long term approach to the blessing.

The challenge therefore is when human beings who are limited must adjust those ways to an unlimited God. This means you build with a long term mentality to whatever God is doing through you. Open your eyes and mind to take a long term approach to the working of God in you.

SCRIPTURE READING: Isaiah 61:1-4 “The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to [those who are] bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.” And they shall rebuild the old ruins, They shall raise up the former desolations, And they shall repair the ruined cities, The desolations of many generations.

DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly Father, open my eyes to see Your long term working in my life, amen.
