There are some dynamics to building that we must remember at all times. These are things that are a must for any kind of build. Ministry, business, career, family, whatever.

It all starts with Starting. Talk is cheap and building requires action. Getting started is one of the hardest things in life. Stop procrastinating and get started with your dreams and destiny.

As you get started, Capacity is critical. Understand and increase your capacity. Refuse to take on more than your capacity so you don’t crash. There is no point getting a ten year old bench pressing 100kg weights. What they need is to progressively increase their capacity as they increase the challenges they take on.

Occasionally evaluate your progress and yourself. Take a good look at what is going on so you can understand the situation in order to deal with it accordingly. Evaluate yourself after every phase.

You will occasionally need to Adjust your approach. There is no point in sticking to a strategy that doesn’t work. Don’t wait to crash in order to accept that change is needed. Adjust on the go.

You will also need to Negotiate as you build the things that matter. Don’t just throw in the towel. When the going gets tough, find a way to achieve your goals. Engage the different stakeholders and thrash out an arrangement that will work for both of you.

Finally you must Finish what you start. Things that are half done can be more dangerous than those never started. Half baked, incomplete projects suck life out of you. Ensure that you finish what you start so you can get into the habit of winning. Failure can be a habit and so can winning. Give yourself several achievable targets so you get into the habit of winning. As a serial winner you learn how to make it happen. Take a good read of the scripture for the day see all the above in the teaching of Jesus.

SCRIPTURE READING: Luke 15:28-32 “But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. So he answered and said to [his] father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends. But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’ “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.'”

DEVOTION PRAYER: Your teaching leads me to victory. May I continually understand these dynamics in Jesus name amen.
