God has Brought you into His kingdom as a partner not just a servant. As a child of God you have the blessing of the house because everything that happens in the house is of paramount importance to you. You are not a guest who comes to watch and partake. You are an active part of the family. This means you understand that when the kingdom thrives you too thrive. It also means you are interested in the kingdom thriving. If you lived in a city and that city lost its power or water supply, you too will be affected by the shortage. If the city went to war, you would be at war as well.
So in the city of our Lord, the Church, you are a kingdom partner that not only gets involved but makes things happen. Allow me to emphasis the financial side of things. You must be involved in the financial prosperity of the kingdom so that things continue to happen. You must be involved paying the bills, generate extra income and doing whatever is in your power to financially enable and promote the kingdom. Refuse to be a consumer only but a contributor as well. And don’t just be a causal contributor but a game changer that makes a significant difference. Don’t wait to be pressed and manipulated but rather motivate yourself and do what you know in your heart to be true.
Whatever you make happen for the kingdom, God will make happen for you. As a partner, God takes special interest in your well being and well doing. God will ensure that you thrive so His kingdom can thrive too. The blessing of God in your life goes into His kingdom. So you can imagine what God will bring your way. Don’t just be a partaker but rather a partner.
SCRIPTURE READING: Philippians 4:15-20 Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only. For even in Thessalonica you sent [aid] once and again for my necessities. Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account. Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things [sent] from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now to our God and Father [be] glory forever and ever. Amen.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God, I am grateful to understand that I am a partner in the kingdom.
