Daily Devotion

Some time back we purchased a high quality video equipment for the work of the ministry. Our technical team could hardly turn the thing on leave alone use it. After weeks of nothing, I decided to get involved. I sat down with the team and asked for the manual and tutorials and all that. Eventually, we figured out what buttons to press and what levels to turn in order to get results. We basically had to learn how to work the thing. We were blessed by the results and quality of work done as a result of working this equipment.

What am I saying? The kingdom of God must be worked in order for us to get the expected results from it. Prosperity doesn’t work its self in your life. You must figure out the buttons to press in order to get a particular result and get busy pressing them. We mistakenly think that we are simply going to watch and pray then see things move themselves. You must be involved in the moving of things. You must apply yourself to the principles if you want results. Fold your sleeves and get your hands onto the plow then God will bless and increase the labour of your hands.

SCRIPTURE READING: Proverbs 10:4 He who has a slack hand becomes poor, But the hand of the diligent makes rich.

DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God, today I apply myself to the principles of the kingdom. I stretch out my hands to labour in the building of Your kingdom, amen.
