A loaded gun is a very potent and dangerous thing. The bullets it holds can hurt, maim and kill. If you came across a man with a loaded weapon, don’t hesitate to surrender and comply unless God intervenes. However, the potential of that loaded gun only remains potential until someone pulls the trigger and fires accordingly. The journey from potential to actually pulling the trigger in this situation can be very long yet very near. It only takes a moment to pull the trigger yet it can take eternity without being pulled. In many ways, faith is like a loaded gun. The potential is enormous yet if you don’t pull that trigger nothing happens. You must activate your faith for it to work in your situation. Potential can lie dormant for generations, even centuries even though it could change the world. You must activate your faith to make use of it. If you prepared your best meal and placed it in the oven then forgot to flip the switch on, would it cook?

Faith for finances is activated when we understand how the switch is flipped on. It starts with believing in prosperity based on the word of God. You then confess and declare with your tongue the things you believe and finally put them into motion with the right actions that correspond to that which you believe. You believe God is opening a door for employment based on the fact that you qualify and position yourself for that job. With your mouth you begin to confess that job by applying for it, interviewing and speaking it into being. You then begin to do things that show you actually believe the job is yours. Faith for the establishment of your business is activated when you begin to understand and position yourself for that business. You speak it into being to yourself, friends and even strangers. You then begin to do things you do when operating that kind of business. If you believe you are called to farming, you speak it and act it. This means you are spending hours learning, speaking, growing and eventually doing as farmers do. These are the same principles when it comes to marriage, healing, salvation and prosperity. Activate your Faith.

SCRIPTURE READING: James 2:17-26 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, [ “Abraham believed God, and it was] [ accounted to him for righteousness.”]And he was called the friend of God. You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent [them] out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

DEVOTION PRAYER: I believe in the life of faith and I choose to activate it in Jesus name amen.
