Daily Devotion

Everything we have of value must be tested at some point or another. Our faith in the Lord is of so much value and it must be tested at many points and times in our lives. There is every reason to want to avoid this testing of our faith but the honest truth is that its inevitable. If you find that your faith is not being tested, either you just don’t notice the testing or you really don’t have faith to be tested.

Rejoice at the testing of your faith. Expect the testing of your faith. Ensure you pass the testing of your faith. God like any good instructor will allow and prepare for the testing of your faith, so don’t consider all your tests as hostile experiences. Obviously the devil and world will also test you, but the fact that God has allowed them to test you means that you have what it takes to overcome.

SCRIPTURE READING: 1 Peter 1:3-7 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, [being] much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God, I rejoice in the testing of my Faith. This is your love towards me, amen.
