For all of us who have been to school and sat through a classroom, we know that tests come to improve and grow us. The teacher will test you so they can identify the areas of weakness, then they can grow you. Every time you failed a test meant you had to go through the lesson again. Each time you passed the test meant that your capacity has truly grown and you are ready to take on the next challenge. those that always failed the test basically failed to grow.
The testing of our faith works in the same way to grow and improve us. As the boundaries of your life are pushed and you are tested to the limits, your capacity is increased. After going through certain tests you can confidently handle certain things because you passed the test. Your capacity to handle is connected to the tests you have been able to pass because that shows what you can deal with. Testing means growth. Be excited about your tests because they have come to increase your capacity.
SCRIPTURE READING: James 5:8-11 You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door! My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience. Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end [intended by] the Lord—that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly Father, am grateful that am a wonderful candidate of faith and am strongly growing in it. Amen
