Daily Devotion

I have heard many people complain about their tests and trials talking like they should never be tested in life. For many, they feel like tests are evidence that something is wrong with them. But I have Learnt that tests are normal, inevitable and necessary in life. Interestingly, I have also noticed that every good instructor gives their students tests. As a matter of fact, they test the students who appear capable of passing the test. Each test is set according to the capacity of the student.

The testing of your faith and the many tests you will face are a very important part of your life and should be embraced as a positive part of life with excitement, expectation and faith. You are going through those tests because you are alive and God is working in your life. Only the dead don’t have to deal with the dynamics of life including trials. Everyone is going through a trial, going into a trial or coming out of a trial. You are not the exception. There is a reason behind the testing you are going through. You can come through that situation a better person in Jesus` name.

SCRIPTURE READING: Romans 5:2-8 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only [that,] but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I rejoice in hope and glory in trials because they are normal. I am persuaded that this is your love towards me amen.
