We have been told how exercise is good for children. The running, jumping, kicking and swimming are all important excises that encourage growth. Doctors will occasionally request that kids spend more time playing and exercising to promote growth at that critical stage. Exercise also encourages growth in adults. When you get to the gym and do some specific workout for your muscles they can grow bigger and stronger as you desire. Exercise is also important for the growth of your faith.
Exercise your faith by giving it regular things to do and work with. You can focus your faith on a particular item every month or every week and as God works with you, your faith is increased and grown. Start where you are and exercise your faith to see it grow. You can start with items of healing, prosperity, relationships or personal growth. You then pray them through believing God to do some specific things in those areas. This process will encourage your faith and you will be ever increasing the level of things you are believing God to do in your situation. Put your faith to work if you want to see it grow.
SCRIPTURE READING: James 2:15-19 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what [does it] profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!
DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God, I thank you for teaching me how to exercise my faith. I now enjoy the growth of this Faith in Jesus name amen.
