Growth is a result of time. When my son was little he wanted to drive. So I would occasionally let him sit on my laps as we drove around the house. He figured out the stirring wheel and how to spin it about. He then asked me to get out of the seat and let him drive alone. Obviously I obliged but we couldn’t get to the pedals so the car wouldn’t move. He frustratingly asked why he couldn’t move the car and my answer was simple. Your feet can’t get to the peddles. But I assured him he will grow tall enough and his feet will get there. The next question was funny. When will I grow? My answer? It is only a matter of time. Give it time!
Faith and your spiritual life will also grow if you give them time. Time in prayer, time in the word, time on the clock. Don’t get frustrated by what you can’t do today. Give it time and you will be doing so much more. It is only a matter of time. If you don’t quit and keep trusting God and walking with God in prayer and His word, time will work for you. It takes time so refuse to be in a hurry and apply time as you apply yourself to God and His ways.

DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God, I have learnt that faith is gradual and I choose to give my spiritual life time to grow in Jesus name, amen.
