I have been involved in many building projects and none are without meaning. I recently put up a dog house for my dogs with a specific purpose in mind. Vacation homes, office buildings, and sporting complexes are all built with a specific purpose in mind. I believe the same is true with your life. God has put you onto the planet for a specific purpose and the greatest joy in life is finding and living out that purpose.
Your Creator had a specific purpose in mind when He started that project of your life. With all your ambitions, excitements and frustrations, God has a specific purpose for you today. In the simplicity of your life, the purpose of God is at the centre of meaning, fulfilment and contentment. You must live each day connecting your life to that purpose of God and working to fulfil your destiny. There is not greater joy in life than fulfilling that destiny.
SCRIPRURE READING: Jeremiah 4:1-11 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” Then said I: “Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.” But the Lord said to me: “Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of their faces, For I am with you to deliver you,” says the Lord. Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant.” Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.”
DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God, may my fulfilments and contentment be of purpose in Jesus name, amen.
