A friend of mine was involved in an incident that affected her life so drastically. Her husband asked her to tow a vehicle and in the process they were almost killed by another vehicle. She was gripped with so much fear that was unknown to her, her digestive and immune system literary froze. She stopped eating and started getting all kinds of unexplainable pains. The doctors eventually found out that her gut had frozen and traced it back to the near accident. The fear of death had brought her body to a near crash. She was then encouraged through therapy to forget the incident that caused the fear and to look forward to living life to its fullest.

Fear brings paralysis and inactivity. Many times we fail to do what we are capable of doing because we are filled with fear. The fear causes a freeze that simply renders you motionless. Walking in destiny requires you to conquer your fears and live by faith. Refuse to expect the worst and reach out for the best. God has great and awesome things in store for you. Don’t allow the fear of failure or any kind of fear limit and restrict you today. God commands His chosen servants not to fear but to reach out into greatness and do great things for Him. Live by faith and not in fear!

SCRIPTURE READING: Joshua 1:1-7 After the death of Moses the servant of the LORD, it came to pass that the LORD spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying: “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory. No man shall [be able to] stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, [so] I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

DEVOTION PRAYER: My God I am grateful for being strong and courageous, hallelujah!
