The old saying that pride comes before a fall is so true when it comes to destiny. Many times people are kept away from their destiny by the spirit of pride. They may feel so large, so gifted or just simply too beautiful for certain things, yet those are the things that would get them going places. Pride gives you a sense of importance that is far beyond the facts. While everyone wants to be at the top and been seen, there is lots of room at the bottom. The best way to get to the top is to start at the bottom. Pride relegates you to the sidelines with the promise of something greater that actually never comes.
Humble yourself to the will of God. Reject the lofty pride that aims to sidetrack you from doing great things in the Lord. Refuse to think so highly of yourself but rather submit yourself to God and His good will. The way to the top is at the bottom. Greatness is not about how important you think you are but rather by getting hands on and doing great things. Don’t just limit yourself with great things in your mind but rather do the humble things that bring great results. Humble yourself and God will lift you in due time.
SCRIPTURE READING: Proverbs 11:1-2 Dishonest scales [are] an abomination to the LORD, But a just weight [is] His delight. When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble [is] wisdom.
