Daily Devotion

The world has got smaller by the day. More people are connected through technology than ever before. We live in times where somehow everyone is connected to someone. Your destiny is connected to some people near and far. Let us not forget that our destiny is connected to people near and far. Life is not an island. We can go further by working with those God has placed in our lives for that purpose. You are as limited as your network. Your net worth is greatly affected by your network. There are destiny keepers that you must net work with in order to step into your next level. God has given what you need to someone else so you must learn to connect with them and draw from them.

Dedicate time to build and nurture your networks. Plan time and effort to build your network. Just like a garden, the networks you ignore become overgrown and need some weeding and tender care. Get out of your way to build networks that will be a blessing to you in the proper time. Don’t just treat your networks like a business transaction where you place your ATM card, a simple pin and the thing throws cash at you. Remember, these are real people and must be treated with love, care and genuine concern. You will get so much more out of relationships that you have tended and nurtured. It takes people to do. Great things in life. Who are your people?

SCRIPTURE READING: 2 Samuel 3:31-39 Then David said to Joab and to all the people who were with him, “Tear your clothes, gird yourselves with sackcloth, and mourn for Abner.” And King David followed the coffin. So they buried Abner in Hebron; and the king lifted up his voice and wept at the grave of Abner, and all the people wept. And the king sang [a lament] over Abner and said: ” Should Abner die as a fool dies? Your hands were not bound Nor your feet put into fetters; As a man falls before wicked men, [so] you fell.” Then all the people wept over him again. And when all the people came to persuade David to eat food while it was still day, David took an oath, saying, “God do so to me, and more also, if I taste bread or anything else till the sun goes down!” Now all the people took note [of it,] and it pleased them, since whatever the king did pleased all the people. For all the people and all Israel understood that day that it had not been the king’s [intent] to kill Abner the son of Ner. Then the king said to his servants, “Do you not know that a prince and a great man has fallen this day in Israel? And I [am] weak today, though anointed king; and these men, the sons of Zeruiah, [are] too harsh for me. The LORD shall repay the evildoer according to his wickedness.”

DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God, I thank you because I possess good network for my destiny.
