Coming to the end of a year, season, level or dimension, Thanksgiving ought to be on our lips. This has been an interesting year to say the least. The many challenge, obstacles and situations may have tested you to the limit but none the less, God has brought you this far. While others are overwhelmed by the many happenings, we should react by being grateful to the Lord for His grace and mercy through the many challenges of life.
We all go through the same situations on the planet but we make different choices on how to react. You predetermine what you are going to say and how you are going to react with whatever is thrown your way. The things that make some individuals complain are the same things that result ingratitude for others. Your attitude of gratitude or compliant is predetermined way before the many things we encounter. Our reaction is not triggered by our experience but rather the experience gives us the opportunity to do what we already decided to do.
Let us therefore predetermine to be grateful to God for the many things we are going through. Decide to be positive and thankful in all situations. Look for the good and the grace of God in all things regardless of the pain or challenges. Let us give thanks to God for all the wonderful things we have enjoyed. Deliberately thank God for His grace, blessings and goodness. Be grateful to God even in those situations you don’t like and don’t understand. God is surely doing a good work in you through all situations. Lets be thankful today!
SCRIPTURE READING: Psalms 100:1-5 Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands! Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the LORD, He [is] God; [It is] He [who] has made us, and not we ourselves; [We are] His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, [And] into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, [and] bless His name. For the LORD [is] good; His mercy [is] everlasting, And His truth [endures] to all generations.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Oh LORD, I am grateful for your love and protection throughout the year in Jesus name amen.
