Daily Devotion

Your computer has a default setting which is basically the original settings installed on it from the factory. The old has been with us for a long time, it has become our default setting. The new seems so foreign we have to intentionally get into it. Having done life in a certain way, we getting so comfortable with it that changing to something new becomes complicated and difficult. We must therefore be careful and deliberate with getting into the new.

Focus, effort and work must define our careful approach into the new things for the season. Don’t just go back to your default setting. You are not going to get into new things by reflex or default. You must deliberately put your mind, heart and effort into this new thing. Be careful to follow the new path God is setting before.

SCRIPTURE READING: Isaiah 43:18-19 “But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.

DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God, guide me to this newness in Jesus name amen.
