Living in the natural world we tend to forget the spiritual world. We get caught up with the five senses as we see, hear, smell, taste and feel that we forget the spiritual world. However, the realm of the spirit is more important than the natural being eternal and the source of all in the natural. We therefore must learn to prioritise the spirit realm over the natural. God is spirit and touching our spirits everyday. We should therefore be sensitive to the spirit of God and surrender to Him.
As we put first things first, let us put God first in our lives. It is not enough to know that God has blessed you and brought you this far without surrendering to Him and giving Him His rightful place of priority. Your prayer life, Bible study, and walk of faith should be priorities for you this season. First things first means you seek God and allow His work in your life as a matter of priority. While all the other things in the natural may be important, let us give priority to the spiritual things as God takes the seat of importance in our lives.
SCRIPTURE READING: Mark 12:17 And Jesus answered and said to them, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” And they marveled at Him.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God, I thank you because You continually teach me your word. I choose to put you first in everything I do in Jesus mighty name amen.
