All sporting disciplines have a set of rules, objectives and guidelines that govern the sport. We are generally aware of some of these rules like the soccer rules of legs only and no hands. The goalie is obviously given an exemption but with further rules like where they can actually handle the ball. Now, Rugby has its own set of rules that are totally different from soccer. They use both hands and feet but with all kinds of caveats. Playing any of these games means you should stick to the rules of that particular game.
The game of life has its own rules and guidelines which we must not only learn but adhere to. One such is the principle of different seasons on the planet. As long you are on planet earth, you will not avoid the various seasons like summer, winter, spring and the like. Everyone is subject to them and you too are in this game of seasons which you must play by the rules, like it or not. Some people refuse to play, while others try to ignore the rules but the fact remains, life under the sun is set on this auto timer called the seasons of life.
So don’t get worked up or locked down. Appreciate the seasons of life and make the most of them. You can learn the game, master the rules, work with the game, work the game and enjoy the game. Many millions of people through the centuries have played the game of seasons and enjoyed every bit of it. Don’t be caught napping in the lights. Get your self together and get your game on, the game is on and its time for you to play! Just remember, It is all real! Have Fun!
SCRIPTURE READING: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (New English Translation)
For everything there is an appointed time, and an appropriate time for every activity on earth: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to uproot what was planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance. A time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to search, and a time to give something up as lost; a time to keep, and a time to throw away; a time to rip, and a time to sew; a time to keep silent, and a time to speak. A time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.
DEVOTION PRAYER: My God, guide me through this journey of life. May I appreciate the seasons of life, hallelujah.
